Pence a Great Choice for Trump

Many great American Patriots have probably wondered how Mike Pence the Governor of Indiana was chosen by Donald J. Trump as his choice as a running mate for Vice President of the United States. As a Pakistani Christian, the daughter of immigrant parents whose lineage spans several generations in terms of Christianity and my faith, I only had to read Gov. Mike Pence’s tributes to 9/11 that were penned in the aftermath of that terrorist tragedy by Muslim hijackers who flew jet fuel laden planes into the WTC buildings and the Pentagon, as well as an unsuccessful plane that crashed when American Patriots found out the real target of the terrorists. It is clear that Gov. Pence has been a Godly praying man of God and will make a great Vice President for our One Nation Under God. I happen to have a copy of the Book “The Commemorative Joint Meeting of the Congress of the United States in Federal Hall, New York, NY which took place on Friday, September 6, 2002.” That book contains the tribute to the innocent unsuspecting civilians who were murdered by Muslim Terrorists. At that time, Mike Pence was a Representative from the State of Indiana.
I personally have a dear friend who was one of the first responders to the site of the World Trade Center attacks in New York, he is Richard Oslund an Indiana Firefighter and an amazing American Patriot, a husband, a father, and true Man of God. He still shudders and weeps when speaking of what he saw at Ground Zero in the aftermath of 9/11.
New York also happens to be Mr. Donald J. Trump’s hometown thus I know that 9/11 was a Crucible that affected him on many levels as an American Patriot and Businessman, father and husband as well. The 9/11 Tragedy shook all of us to the core. However, many Americans have become complacent, and downright rebellious, which is such a travesty and shame.
Let’s read what Gov. Pence penned during that time. His words reflect a man who is a student of the Word of God, a Patriot, and a man who is well versed in our History. Donald J. Trump is also a man well studied in our history and the Bible. In fact, he actually collects Bibles. Great men are often forged in the Crucibles of tragedy, Donald J. Trump and Mike Pence are no exception. Both are great men wonderfully prepared to serve their country.
September 6, 2002: A TIME TO MOURN
Hon. Mike Pence of Indiana
Mr. Speaker, the Good Book tells us that there is a time for every purpose under heaven. There is a time to weep and a time to mourn. On September 6 I jointed some 250 of my colleagues in this body as we traveled to Federal Hall in New York City to do just that.
We gathered at a place in which this Congress met and even adopted the Bill of Rights in 1789. We mourned with those who mourn and we wept with those who weep regarding the September 11 tragedy. The last time I was in New York City was September 21, 2001. I stood in the ashes and on the periphery of the devastation at Ground Zero.
As we join to pray, Mr. Speaker, let us never remember that we are also told that there is a time for peace and there is a time for war. As we pray for the bereaved let us also pray for wisdom for our President and our leadership in this institution as we choose the times and the days of war.
September 11, 2002: TRIBUTE TO FREEDOM
Hon. Mike Pence of Indiana
Mr. Speaker, the United States of America is founded on the fundamental principle that all citizens have the inalienable right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
The United States of America stands as a beacon of freedom and opportunity for everyone regardless of race, creed or religious belief.
The strength and vitality of the United States of America is in the diversity of its people, the diversity of its ideas, the freedom to express those ideas and the opportunity to achieve one’s potential and direct one’s destiny.
Mr. Speaker, these ideals and principles are absolute and will not be surrendered or weakened by the cowardly acts of terrorists who fear the sunshine of freedom and the responsibility it brings.
Let us forever remember that the date September 11, reaffirms the principles for which the United States of America was founded and that on this day each year freedom shall ring from every community in this great land and the voice of America will be heard around the world.
As I ponder the words penned by Mr. Pence, I am reminded that none of us who love America could have foreseen that less than a decade after 9/11, Americans would have in office the most Biblically Hostile President in our history who masquerades as a Christian when he is anything but. His policies and behaviors have clearly proven that he despises everything American, and has done more to extinguish America as a “City on a Hill” a term used to describe America by Jonathan Winthrop in his famous address on the Arabella, and echoed by Donald Trump in his books, “Crippled America” and “Time to Get Tough.” What many fail to realize is that phrase is verbatim the words of Jesus Christ in Matthew 5:14 “You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden.”
Clearly, Americans need to wake up and fight for America and Vote for Donald J. Trump for President and Mike Pence for Vice President on the Republican ticket in November as the future of our beloved country depends on it, otherwise there will be no longer an America left for our children.
